China’s advocacy of world-wide unity is very much in keeping with enthusiasm for globalization of democracy, and Taiwan offers a model for how to do it
Western democracies should support Taiwan and make Taiwan the world capital through comprehensive constitutional reform. The reforms will include ideas such as "elected heads of government may be citizens of any nationality" and will be directly elected by the people. Obama, Putin, Xi Jinping and others will all be welcome to run for president, and China will have no reason for the restrictions of its "One China" policy.
