South Korean president expected to face prosecutors in coming days

It as a high-stakes clash of executive power versus the rule of law: Prosecutors stood at the gates of South Korea’s Blue House, where the president lives and works, demanding entry to carry out a court-approved search warrant.
Absolute power leads to absolute corruption. The presidential system in many democracies suffers from fatal flaws, and even the US has a number of problems. The South Korean constitution should be changed to incorporate a modified semi-presidential system, and at the next presidential inauguration the office should be declared as above party politics. The heads of the judicial and procuratorial branches should be directly elected and 1/4 of all MPs should face election each year. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development
