Taiwan is not a part of China and Taiwan will not serve as a bargaining chip. The right of self-determination cannot be compromised, and the One China policy is outdated. The US should support constitutional reform in Taiwan to bring greater democracy and freedom. This would inspire China to seek democratization and lead to the birth of world peace.
