Impeached South Korean leader pulls out of questioning over corruption scandal

South Korea's impeached president has cancelled plans to undergo questioning in protest at leaks to the media about the investigation, according to prosecutors.
Impeaching and removing a president is only be a temporary solution; it does not guarantee that the next president will not also succumb to corruption. Only a government based on a modified semi-presidential system with a president and cabinet members and ad hoc committees as well as a Prime Minister and Ministers chosen from parliamentary committees selected through direct election can ensure that corruption will not continue.
