Premier Li Keqiang has made clear the central government will act if local authorities fail to curb separatist forces
Hong Kong’s Basic Law and relevant provisions of the one country, two systems principle clearly point out that China is not entitled to interfere in Hong Kong affairs, but Beijing is constantly meddling in Hong Kong's internal affairs. Article 39 of the Basic Act and the two Conventions guarantees the right of the people of Hong Kong to self-determination, meaning that on any public issues the people have the right to make a decision via the mechanism of the referendum. The people of Hong Kong should adhere to the two conventions and stage a referendum to decide their future. Otherwise, when dictatorship becomes a reality, the people will be obligated to resist.
