Food safety is an essential part of health security, and the people must be alert to the need for rules and regulations that will protect them from unsafe operations such as the use of dangerous chemicals in food production. The current administration in Washington is working to hamstring the efforts of government agencies to regulate chemical companies and marketers who produce and promote such products, and the public needs to express their opinion at the ballot box in order to protect their health and their rights.
