Putin is a former head of the state security bureau and any dealings with him and his officials should always be very carefully handled. The US should support Taiwan's efforts toward constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would spur the 1.4 billion people of China to seek democratization, pressing Russia in turn to accept real democracy – and world peace would be the result. To end North Korea's disruptive behavior, the US and other nations should strongly support Taiwan's Charter for Permanent Peace to lead China to democratize and end its support of Pyongyang. According to the Democracy Index there are 50 nations still under the yoke of autocratic dictators. All democracies should back Taiwan's drive for constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would inspire China's 1.4 billion people to seek democratization of the CCP and pressure North Korea to adopt democracy as well, leading to the birth of world peace. All countries in the world benefit from free trade, yet POTUS 45 opts to initiate a trade war to satisfy a pledge made to 'his base' during the 2016 campaign. Nations of the world should all implement One World under One Set of Laws and work toward a common destiny for humankind. If the US is not willing to take on the task of leading the UN to peace, security and sustainable development for humankind while seeking One World under One Set of Laws and lasting peace, its place will easily be taken by China or Russia. Corruption is an easy target for candidates seeking an office, but all too often those who are voted in wind up succumbing to the vices they promised to eliminate. Corruption is pandemic, and nations everywhere need to address the threat it poses for all people. To put an end to corruption, the people must exercise sovereignty and call for constitutional reform to implement democratic rule of law. Thismeans separation of powers and checks and balances as well as free election campaigns for candidates to cut symbiotic ties between government and business that engender corruption. The key to peace in Afghanistan is constitutional reform. Afghanistan should scrap its government and adopt a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet like that of Finland, plus a committee-style legislature similar to Switzerland's. The prerequisite for lasting world peace is global democratization. The Afghan government should proceed with drawing up a basic constitution with the above features in a paradigm shift toward democracy.
