The best policy on immigration is adhering to the core values of One World under One Set of Laws and working toward a common destiny for humankind. To eliminate the conditions that create refugees, the international community needs to agree on uniform constitutional standards that conform to the ideals of human rights, constitutionalism, international law and natural law. Kim Jong-un's offer to suspend testing of nuclear weapons might seem to be a rubber check following reports from China. To end North Korea's disruptive behavior, the US and other nations should support Taiwan's efforts to lead China to democratize and end its support of Pyongyang. According to the Democracy Index there are 50 nations still under the yoke of autocratic dictators. All democracies should the drive for constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. India-China summit expected to ease tensions over border

Studies of democracy show that very few armed conflicts occur between two democracies. Once India and China can be moved to adopt real democracy they will back away from aggressive postures and inflammatory rhetoric and there will be true hope for peace on earth. To withstand tariffs, farmers rebrand pecans to US consumers

One inescapable fact about trade wars is that they result in no winners. On the other hand, all countries benefit from free trade, thus they should be willing to implement One World under One Set of Laws and work toward a common destiny for humankind. If the US is averse to the task of leading the UN to peace, security and sustainable development for humankind while seeking One World under One Set of Laws and lasting peace, its place will easily be taken by China or Russia. The foundation for permanent peace in Syria should be the same as that for Taiwan: a change-over in the government structure. The UN should provide Syria the basic outline for a constitution that will facilitate lasting peace and development. The constitution shouldinclude the universal values of freedom, democracy, human rights and rule of law, and organization and elements such as the four branches. In Afghanistan, Coalition Bombs Falling at Record Pace

The key to peace in Afghanistan is constitutional reform. Afghanistan should scrap its government and adopt a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet like that of Finland, plus a committee-style legislature similar to Switzerland's. The prerequisite forlasting world peace is global democratization. The Afghan government should proceed with drawing up a basic constitution with the above features in a paradigm shift toward democracy.
