Permanent Peace Partnership
The UN should act in accordance with peremptory norms (humanitarian law, universal human rights law, crimes against human beings, prohibition of the principle of genocide), while providing a constitutional outline incorporating basic principles for all nations. It should include universal values, organizational structure including direct election of the heads of the legislative, administrative, judicial and prosecutorial branches. This will help Myanmar address its people's long-term welfare. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.
