Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has said the country is standing at a Brexit "crossroads" and must choose whether or not it wants to be part of a post-Brexit UK.
Taiwan should learn from Scotland’s experience with the independence referendum and carry out a paradigm shift. The people have the right to call for a referendum on any public issue. Should a bill attempt to prohibit or limit the people's right of self-determination, the first referendum to be held should decide whether such a bill should be banned. The Legislative Yuan should first establish the "Right to Create" in regards to the "Referendum Act," ask President Tsai to openly consider the sovereignty of the people and call for comprehensive constitutional reform. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
