Press freedom and human rights are under attack in Myanmar, largely because the nation's constitution guarantees the 40% of seats in Congress with no need to stand in elections. In order to protect human rights, Myanmar should carry out reform to adopt Global UnityConstitutional Standards and the core values of One World under One Set of Laws, giving international law precedence over domestic law, and direct election of the heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial. At the same time, it should install a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet. For more, see the Charter for Permanent Peace. §1.9 §1.10 §5.1 §6.1 §6.10
