The Belgian government should hold international law superior to domestic law and include international food standards as a standard for nationally regulated food. All food production, manufacturing and supply standards; environmental changes caused by food pollution, infection or new micro-organisms; toxic and drug resistance; emerging and different food pollution, and other aspects should all be covered by national management. To avoid further escalation in grievances and tension, Ireland should end its suppression and repression of citizens. It should study the processes followed in referendums by Switzerland and in elections in the state of California. Human security is a fundamental human right, and human rights must take precedence over regimes and sovereigns. Constitutions represent the general will of the people, and ensuring human security — including "personal safety" — is the most urgent duty of constitutional guarantors. This means revising constitutional standards as needed to keep pace with the times and allow governments to keep their people safe from terror. The Irish economy has survived for many years thanks to EU subsidies. If the constitution is not reformed, national economic bankruptcy will be inevitable. Studies of democracy show that very few armed conflicts occur between two democracies. Once China and Russia can be moved to democratize there will be real hope for peace on earth. Taiwan seeks to achieve greater freedom and democracy, and to convince China to democratize as well. This will lead Russia to consider real democracy, and the birth of world peace will be at hand. Venezuela should undertake full constitutional reform to implement a dual-leader system. The president should serve a single 5-year term and be barred from running again for 6 years along with his/her relatives. The Prime Minister should oversee government operations and national defense, and 1/4 of all lawmakers should face election each year to ensure responsiveness to the needs of the people. Thai democracy has been repeatedly been beaten back by a military that is too easily handed the keys to the government. All Thais should immediately demand the military government yield to the people to show that power comes from democracy, not from the gun.
