No matter what a nation’s government system may be, the more power the president holds the more likely the country is to be beset with problems. Turkey needs to carry out constitutional reform to limit the president to a single 5-year term plus a ban on running again for 6 years afterward. The President of Turkey is in violation of Article 6 of the Turkish Constitution, which states that sovereignty wholly and unconditionally belongs to the people.
