Taiwan will gradually get used to Chinese air force drills that encircle the island, while Taiwan's premier reiterated the self-ruled island's desire for peaceful relations with its giant neighbor.
War will always be cruel. From a historical perspective, a country that uses force to unify the world will itself be overthrown by force eventually. The use of coercion against Taiwan will, on the contrary, promote even greater unity among the people of Taiwan. From a strategic perspective, adopting the Taiwan model of the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development in a joint effort for world peace will win approval from Taiwan.
