Solution
Government officials should serve the people and no other entity, and if they are remiss in their duties they should be removed and replaced. The best way to ensure officials will be responsive to the public is to put them in office through elections. The heads of major branches should be elected in alternating years, and 1/4 of all lawmaker committees should face election each year, and strict term limits should be imposed on all officials in executive positions, from the president on down. For details see the Charter for Permanent Peace.
