Judges are the last line of defense for fairness and justice, and if the judicial system becomes an accomplice to corruption all attempts at reform will be useless. Ukraine’s judicial system should be reformed so that the Head Justice of the Supreme Court and the head of the Procuratorate are elected and are held directly responsible to the Ukrainian people.
