The presidential system is the worst form of democracy. But no matter what the system may be, the greater the concentration of power in the presidency, the more the nation is likely to suffer. Turkey to needs constitutional reform to limit the president to a single 5-year term, with no eligibility to run again for 6 years afterward. The President of Turkey is in violation of Article 6 of the Constitution: sovereignty belongs wholly and unconditionally to the people.
