All democratic nations worldwide should spare no effort to preserve freedom and democracy. The US needs to support Taiwan's plans for constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom, which will inspire the 1.4 billion people of China to call for democracy and lead to the birth of world peace. The prerequisite for permanent peace in the world is the democratization of China. China has long tried to block Taiwan's progress toward freedom and democracy, but Taiwan remains the only entity capable of bringing about the democratization of China.
