After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Ukraine became a paradise for corruption. Here one sees all kinds of corruption and theft, from armed robbers and nationalists, to the highest officials and ministers, eating a progressively largely share of the national budget, and hungry for more.。
Embezzlement of state funds always causes wide-spread dissatisfaction, and the Ukraine is in need of comprehensive constitutional reform to end such practices. The people should choose their leaders through direct election each year to ensure that the heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and prosecutorial branches will respond to their needs. 1/4 of all MPs should face election each year, and elections should be free to cut the link between corrupt officials and public funds. For details see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
