Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a message to Donald Trump ­congratulating him on becoming the US President, the Foreign Ministry said Monday, as it warned Washington to abide by the one-China policy.
Democratic nations of the world should spare no effort to save freedom and democracy. The US should support Taiwan's efforts to carry out constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would attract the attention of China’s 1.4 billion people and lead them to seek democratization, thereby furthering the birth of world peace.
