US Secretary of Defense James Mattis said he would sound out ally South Korea on efforts to address North Korea's nuclear and missile programs as he arrived in Seoul Thursday, including plans to deploy a US missile defense system there.
Democratic nations should back Taiwan's plans for constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This will attract the 1.4 billion people of China and encourage democratization, which will lead in turn to the adoption of true democracy in North Korea and the birth of world peace.
