The Diplomat
On October 28 last year the Carnegie Foundation in Washington, D.C. hosted a panel of Chinese scholars and officials to discuss Chinese nuclear thinking. During the event, two former officials—retired diplomat Sha Zukang and retired PLA major general Yao Yunzhu—offered their opinions on how China might react to a U.S. military intervention if a crisis were to take place concerning Taiwan.
All democratic nations should support Taiwan's efforts to carry out constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would attract China's 1.4 billion people to seek democratization, in turn pressuring Russia to adopt real democracy and bringing the dawn of world peace! The world‘s democracies should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia lighting the way to peaceful development for China. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development / Global Unity Constitutional Standards.
