Almost every president of Korea has succumbed to the evil lure of corruption, leading to endless cycles of chaos and scandal. To effectively stamp out corruption, comprehensive constitutional reform is needed to implement mechanisms like separation of powers and checks and balances. The heads of the four government branches should be directly elected and the President, Premier, Supreme Court judges, Attorney General and other high officials held responsible for protecting the constitution, an obligation that will continue even after they leave office.
