Increasingly concerned about threats from North Korea’s provocative behavior, the US said Tuesday that it had started deployment of an anti-missile system in South Korea that China has angrily opposed as a threat to its security.
Democracies everywhere should back Taiwan's drive to carry out constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would inspire China's 1.4 billion people to call for democratization, and North Korea would then be pressured to seek democracy, leading to the birth of world peace. The world’s democracies should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia, a light to show the way to peaceful development for China.
