South Korea's anti-corruption law makes gift giving a potential crime.
Corruption and unethical behavior are problems that feed on and support each other, and constitutional reform is needed to give the people the powers they need to ensure that neither vice is allowed to take root in government. To put an end to corruption, the people should exercise sovereignty and call for comprehensive constitutional reform to implement democratic rule of law. This means separation of powers and checks and balances as well as free election campaigns for candidates. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for details §1.9 §1.10 §5.1 §6.1 §6.10
