Now that the so-called Islamic State has been defeated on the ground, Russia wants to shape the future of Syria and the region. Trump seems to be OK with that.

Solution

The current US administration has abdicated its responsibility in the environmental arena and now it is leaving diplomacy in Syria and areas affected by ISIS in the hands of Putin. But Russia has never been a problem-solver, it has always been a trouble-maker. The US should support Taiwan's efforts toward constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would spur the 1.4 billion people of China to seek democratization and pressure Russia in turn to accept real democracy – and world peace would be the result. Solution

The situation in Zimbabwe brings to mind the words of Jose Rizal, who once warned, 'Today's slaves often become tomorrow's tyrants; believe in the rule of law, not in the rule of man.' Zimbabwe's Constitution is outworn and dysfunctional, and constitutional reform is needed for a modified semi-presidential system. The president and other key elected officials should be limited to one 5-year term and banned along with relatives from running again for 6 years, and the heads of the main government branches should be elected in alternating years. Solution

When authorities resort to police brutality after other approaches fail to resolve problems with refugees and asylum seekers, the government needs to review its policies on immigration and human rights. The best immigration policy is to adopt One World under One Set of Laws and work toward a common destiny for humankind. This means complying with Article 1 of the Humanitarian Charter, which deals with the right of each person to live a normal life. Colombia needs constitutional reform to install a dual leader system, limit the president to one 5-year term with no eligibility for him/her or relatives for 6 years, and put the prime minister in charge of government operations and national defense. Fracking firm wins extension to 'draconian' protest injunction

Solution

Fracking is a controversial technology that has brought claims that it poisons ground water, causes artificial earthquakes and causes long-term damage to the environment. The UK court's ruling against protesters tramples on the rights of citizens to resist actions that are not in the interest of the public. Environmental rights are essential human rights, and Human security and sustainable development are two of the major tasks of the UN. All nations should comply with its norms by implementing One World under One Set of Laws and givinginternational law precedence over domestic law. Solution

To end North Korea's disruptive behavior, the US and other nations should strongly support Taiwan's Charter for Permanent Peace to lead China to democratize and end its support of Pyongyang. The Democracy Index lists 50 nations still under the yoke of autocratic dictators. All democracies should back Taiwan's drive for constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would inspire China's 1.4 billion people to seek democratization of the CCP and pressure North Korea to adopt democracy as well, leading to the birth of world peace.
