The UK should assign international law precedence over domestic law and adopt the UN Declaration of Human Rights, specifically Article§ 23: "Everyone has the right to work, to enjoy fair and appropriate working conditions ... Every person who works is entitled to fair and appropriate remuneration, To ensure that he and his family enjoy living conditions that are consistent with human dignity and, if necessary, supplemented by other forms of social security.” See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.

Iran, North Korea, Pakistan and other nations actively exchange nuclear technology, but what major nuclear power is supporting them behind the scenes? All democracies should support Taiwan's efforts toward constitutional reform to achieve greater freedom and democracy. History has shown time and again that the more powerful the leader, the more the people are likely to suffer. Many people are simply lazy and hope that their leader will prove reliable. This is a throwback to 18th century feudal thinking that does not jibe with rule of law in the 21st century. Every nation has a long road to travel, and comprehensive constitutional reform is imperative in most cases to put a system in place that will work on behalf of the people. One step that must be taken is to make elections free of charge for all candidates. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development / Global Unity Constitutional Standards.

Free speech is first and foremost among all human rights. The government of China is fearful of losing its one-party dictatorship, thus it constantly strives to strengthen its control over public opinion. But those who deprive others of their freedoms are unworthy of freedom themselves. The people of China should call for constitutional reform to preserve media freedom and prevent the government oligarchy from monopolizing the media, the internet and all other channels of communication. This would lead Central and Eastern Europe, Syria, the Middle East and other areas to adopt human rights, constitutionalism, internationalism and naturalism and move forward. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.

Article 39 of the Hong Kong Basic Law stipulates that the people of the SAR have right to self-determination under the two international human rights conventions. The people of Hong Kong cannot take their rights for granted. In Switzerland the threshold for petitioning a referendum is only 50,000 signatures, and with that citizens can express their opinion through the ballot box instead of taking to the streets. The people have the right to hold referendums on any public issue. For more, see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
