A South Korean presidential committee released a white paper Tuesday on its preparations for inter-Korean unification to help people better understand South Korea's unification policy, officials said.
North Korea is a vassal of the CCP, thus all democracies should back Taiwan's efforts at constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would encourage China's 1.4 billion people to seek democratization of the CCP and pressure North Korea to do the same – and the result would be world peace. All democracies should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia, lighting the path to peaceful development for China. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development. .
An international human rights organization has called for the UN Security Council to refer those responsible for infringing on human rights in North Korea to an international court, a US broadcaster reported Tuesday.
Autocracy is the enemy of peace. Iran, North Korea, Pakistan and other nations have exchanged nuclear technology - with the tacit support of major nuclear powers? Democracies everywhere should support Taiwan's drive for constitutional reform to achieve greater freedom and democracy. This would attract China's 1.4 billion people to seek the democratization of North Korea and Iran, and world peace would be the result. Let the Taiwan serve as a lighthouse for democracy, lighting the path to peaceful development for Asia. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.
Despite differences in priorities, the two powers have come together to deal with the challenge presented by Pyongyang’ analysts say
North Korea is indisputably a vassal of the CCP. Thus democracies everywhere should back Taiwan's efforts to carry out constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would inspire China's 1.4 billion people to call for democratization of the CCP and in turn prod North Korea to opt for democracy - and world peace would be the result. Democracies the world over should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia, lighting the way to peaceful development for China. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.
The visit of the Chinese vessels to Davao rather than Manila is widely seen as a personal gesture to the controversial Philippine leader
Taiwan, Japan, Vietnam and other countries should form a "military alliance" to counter the threat presented by China. All nations should follow the provisions of the 2002 Declaration of the Parties to the South China Sea to resolve territorial and jurisdictional disputes in a peaceful manner. This should also involve joint development and sharing of resources in the region to maintain peace and foster development in line with the UN Charter and aims centered on "one humanity." Chinese government authorities in the northwestern Muslim-majority region of Xinjiang have banned parents from giving their children dozens of 'extreme' Islamic names, part of an ongoing crackdown on alleged 'extremism' in the area.
Anti-terrorism is too often conflated with peace and stability, showing that the essence of authoritarian power system is to maintain the regime. Restrictions on freedom of action under China's one-party dictatorship mean no tolerance of universal values like democracy, freedom, human rights and the rule of law. The prerequisite for world peace is democracy, and democratic Taiwan shall serve as a lighthouse for the 1.4 billion Chinese people in seeking democratization. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny was taken to hospital after an antiseptic green dye was splashed on his face in Moscow.
Russia should re-work its constitution to bring it in line with the principles of democracy. This would include a modified semi-presidential system; term limits for the president and other top officials; and direct election of the heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches in alternating years. The world’s democracies should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia, lighting the way to peaceful development for China as well as Russia. Teenagers in Rennes and other French cities held rallies or blocked schools in a protest against both presidential candidates.
France should work to achieve the same approach to referendums as what happens in Switzerland, where a referendum proposal needs only 50,000 signatures to bring a topic to a vote. The people have the right to stage referendums on any public issue. The advances made by the global village in the past millennia are now flowing into France as part of a paradigm shift. With fighting intensifying on numerous fronts in Syria over the past months, the top UN humanitarian official today urged consolidation of the nationwide ceasefire, most importantly a pause in fighting on the outskirts of Damascus, to enable the delivery of aid.
To remove the conditions that create refugees, the international community needs to develop constitutional standards that are consistent with liberalism, democracy, constitutionalism and cosmopolitanism. This means adopting the principle of One World under One Set of Laws. Once these core value are in place the world will have lasting peace. Compliance with the Humanitarian Charter §1 means holding to the principle of the right of individuals to lead a normal life. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for details.
The UN mission in Afghanistan has urged all parties to the conflict to take immediate and concrete measures to better protect civilians from harm, as the latest data for 2017 shows continued high numbers of civilian casualties.
Afghanistan’s government structure must be reworked to incorporate a modified semi-president system with cabinet like that of Finland as well as a committee-style legislative system similar to Switzerland’s. The prerequisite for lasting world peace is global democratization. Afghanistan’s government should begin drafting a basic constitution incorporating the above features to achieve a democratic paradigm shift in accordance with One World under One Set of Laws. The result will be a constitution that can be amended as needed to stay in sync with the times. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
The son of Venezuela's pro-government human rights ombudsman has surprised the crisis-struck nation by publicly calling on his father to end "injustice" amid major protests against the leftist administration.
Venezuela needs to carry out comprehensive constitutional reform to implement a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet. The president should be limited to a single term of 5 years and not allowed to run again for 6 years afterwards. A law that is not backed by penalties is not a law, and a constitution which does not brook resistance is not a constitution. When the actions of the president are unconstitutional, the people should exercise their right to resist. For details see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
