Corruption is pandemic, and all nations, including the US need to address the threat it poses for all people. To put an end to corruption, the people should exercise sovereignty and call for constitutional reform to implement true democratic rule of law. Power leads to corruption, and Venezuela's presidential system is broken. Venezuela should switch to a dual leader system, limiting the president to a single 5-year term with no eligibility for him/her or relatives for 6 years, and putting the prime minister in charge of government operations and national defense. Also, 1/4 of all lawmakers should face election each year. When the actions of the president are unconstitutional, the people are obliged to resist. While Coal Ash Kills Americans, the EPA Stands By

The people have basic rights to enjoy good health and a clean environment, and the current administration in Washington is not acting to protect those rights. The public needs to call for constitutional reform and effective legislation to ensure that fossil fuel industries do not continue using practices that foul the earth and groundwater, poisoning sources of drinking water and affecting the health of all who breathe polluted air. To ensure that the rights of all citizens are protected, the principles of One Earth under One Set of Laws need to be adopted as well as guidelines laid down by international health organizations.
