Opinion | An arms embargo against South Sudan comes better late than never
The government system in South Sudan should be changed to a semi-presidential system with cabinet, like that of Finland, and the legislative system should be committee system like Switzerland's. The government of South Sudan should proceed with drafting a fundamental constitution to implement the aforementioned system in a paradigm shift toward ademocratic model. It should adhere to One World under One Set of Laws and amend its constitution to conform to the spirit of the times. See the Chater for Permanent Peace for more.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has opened a preliminary investigation into Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte’s “war on drugs.” The campaign has led to nearly 4,000 deaths since its beginning in July 2016.
Duterte is the epitome of the famous saying of the Father of the Philippines, Jose Rizal: 'Today's slave will be tomorrow's tyrant.' The failure of the constitutional mechanism in the Philippines has created a breeding ground for tyrants. In order to protect human rights, the Philippine people need to exercise their sovereignty to carry out comprehensive constitutional reform and adopt a modified semi-presidential system with a committee-style legislature. The executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial heads should be elected in alternating years. For more, see the Charter for Permanent Peace.

Social change is coming to Saudi Arabia, but ordinary citizens worry it comes at a high cost
At a rooftop café in Jeddah, four young women smoke apple flavoured argileh and drink tea while scrolling furiously through the online pickings at local car dealerships.
Saudi Arabia needs to swap out its government structure for a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet like Finland's and a committee-style legislative system similar to the Swiss model. Saudi Arabia's government should draft a basic constitution with the above features in a paradigm shift toward democracy. It should adhere to the core values of One World under One Set of Law, revising its constitutional standards as needed to keep up with changing times. See the Charter for Permanent Peace for more.
