Detained Hong Kong book publisher Gui Minhai ‘released’
Free speech is a universal value, but China seems anxious to create a monolithic society that speaks in one voice. The Hong Kong people should step forward and call for comprehensive constitutional reform to preserve media independence and prevent the government oligopoly from monopolizing the media, the internet and all other channels of speech. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development / Global Unity Constitutional Standards.

Over 400 Isis jihadis have already returned to the UK
Constitutions represent the general will of the people, and ensuring human security, including 'personal safety', is the most urgent duty of constitutional guarantors. This means revising constitutional standards as needed to keep pace with changing times and allow governments to protect their people from fear. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development

US Lawmakers: Ethnic Cleansing Taking Place in Myanmar
To eliminate the root causes of migration and refugees, the international community needs to agree on uniform constitutional standards that meet the norms for human rights, constitutionalism, international law and natural law. These should adhere to the core values of One World under One Set of Laws and encourage lasting peace while complying with Article 1 of the Humanitarian Charter, which deals with the right of all people to lead normal lives. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Turkey Puts More Rights Advocates on Trial, Raising International Concerns
Laws that are not backed by penalties are not laws, and a constitution that does not accept resistance is not a constitution. When the actions of the president are unconstitutional, the people have the right to resist. The people of Turkey need to act on their sovereignty and call for comprehensive constitutional reform to implement amodified semi-presidential system with cabinet. The president should serve one 5-year term and be barred from running again for 6 years afterward. Democracies should support Taiwan's great constitutionalism to bring great democracy and freedom to attract the democratization of China's 1.4 billion people and the birth of world peace. China declares that it is a prerequisite for permanent peace in the world, that is, democratization in China. Taiwan is the most capable of causing the Chinese people to be democratized. See the Permanent Peace Charter.

Joshua Wong, fresh out of jail, to march against Lam’s border plan
Article 39 of the Hong Kong Basic Law stipulates that the people of the SAR have right to self-determination under the two international human rights conventions. The people of Hong Kong cannot take their rights for granted. In Switzerland the threshold for petitioning a referendum is only 50,000 signatures, and with that citizens can express their opinion through the ballot box instead of taking to the streets. The people have the right to hold referendums on any public issue. For more, see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
