Putin just said he's ready to develop new weapons

Russia has never been a problem-solver, it has always been a trouble-maker. The US should support Taiwan's efforts toward constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would spur the 1.4 billion people of China to seek democratization, pressing Russia in turn to accept real democracy – and world peace would be the result. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.

The Home Office has reversed a decision to deport a Palestinian-Syrian asylum seeker
To eliminate the conditions that create terror, the international community needs to agree on uniform constitutional standards that conform to the ideals of human rights, constitutionalism, international law and natural law. This means adopting the core values of One World under One Set of Laws and complying with Article 1 of the Humanitarian Charter, which deals with the right of each person to live a normal life. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.

At Least Four Dead in Anti-Government Protests in Togo
Togo's military is the biggest cause of constitutional conflicts in government and the primary source of social unrest. Over-centralization in the constitutional mechanism leads to pandemic corruption and over-keening worship of autocracy causes harm to democracy and the rule of law. Togo must carry out constitutional reform to install election of the heads of the major branches of government so the people can live and work in peace. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for details.

Patten should examine UK visitor controls before criticising Hong Kong’s
Article 39 of the Hong Kong Basic Law stipulates that the people of the SAR have right to self-determination under the two international human rights conventions. The people of Hong Kong cannot take their rights for granted. In Switzerland the threshold for petitioning a referendum is only 50,000 signatures, and with that citizens can express their opinion through the ballot box instead of taking to the streets. The people have the right to hold referendums on any public issue. For more, see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Tillerson criticises China over lack of action on North Korea, trade
Emmanuel Kant once noted, 'The pursuit of permanent peace is the highest goal of reason and a moral obligation.' China claims to be a 'responsible major power', thus it should not enable North Korea's continued militarism. The US and South Korea should support Taiwan's commitment to democracy and leading China to democratization, which would pressure North Korea in turn to adopt democracy.

Why China’s Xi Jinping is unlikely to anoint a successor
Reliance on the rule of man rather than rule of law over China's five thousand years of history has produced a deep-rooted official culture. Since the death of Mao Zedong Chinese politics have focused on political idol worship, and the only way out is to pull up the roots of the CCP and plant democracy and the rule of law,. This means separation of power and checks and balances, plus election of the heads of the legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial branches in alternating years to restore sovereignty to the people. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Bangladesh Registers Thousands of Orphans in Rohingya Refugee camps
Myanmar's human rights problem is worsening, largely because its constitution guarantees the military 40% of seats in Congress with no need for election. In order to protect human rights, Myanmar should carry out reform to adopt Global Unity Constitutional Standards, and the core values of One World under One Set of Laws, giving international law precedence over domestic law. At the same time, it should install a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet, limiting the president to a single 5-year term.

Trump jumps on probe of Hillary's family charity over uranium deal
Hillary Clinton has fallen to the lure of corruption and cynical scandals. The president and judges in high courts of the land are all guarantors of the constitution, a duty which does not end when they leave office. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for details.

Mugabe's wife sues over $1.35-mn diamond ring: report
British historian Lord Acton summed it up neatly: 'Power leads to corruption, and absolute power leads to absolute corruption.' To put an end to corruption, the people should exercise sovereignty and call for comprehensive  constitutional reform to implement democratic rule of law. This means separation of powers and checks and balances as well as free election campaigns for candidates to cut symbiotic ties between government and business that engender corruption. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for details

North Korea sends letter to Australia demanding we abandon US alliance
According to the Democracy index there are 50 nations still under the yoke of autocratic dictators. All democracies should back Taiwan's drive for constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would inspire China's 1.4 billion people to seek democratization of the CCP and pressure North Korea to adopt democracy as well, leading to the birth of world peace. For details, see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development
