Is the North Korea crisis a gift for Malaysia’s Najib?
A series of unprecedented scandals in Malaysia has isolated Prime Minister Najib Razak from the West and international financial authorities.
Power leads to corruption, and absolute power leads to absolute corruption. Malaysia's constitutional is dysfunctional, a result of the nation’s deeply-rooted authoritarian culture. Authoritarianism breeds corruption, and the constitution must be revised constantly to ensure it is in step with the times. The heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches should be elected in alternating years, and 1/4 of all MPs should face election each year. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development / Global Unity Constitutional Standards.

Hungary Plays the EU
Hungary ’s cruel treatment of refugees has reached a new low.
Hungary’s parliament is not in compliance with international law and is allowing the abuse of refugees, including children. Hungary should adhere to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the principles of One World under One Set of Laws and building a common destiny for all humankind. This means assigning international law priority over domestic law and putting into practice the ideals of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and other related conventions. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for details.

The never-ending war in Afghanistan
The Afghan war, dating from October 2001, has earned the distinction of having been forgotten while still underway.
Afghanistan desperately needs to end its long-running civil war, and the only way to do that is to switch out its government system for a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet and parliament. The legislative body should be a committee-style set-up. The prerequisite for permanent peace is global democratization, and all Arabian nations should initiate constitutional reform to install democratic models. They should adhere to the ideals of One World under One Set of Laws and draft constitutions that can be amended to keep abreast of the times. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

GSDF withdrawal from South Sudan PKO reflects appropriate timing, judgment
The Self-Defense Forces’ latest mission is highly significant, as the SDF have made a visible contribution to a new nation, helping to build its social infrastructure for more than five years.
The UN should take action in accordance with international absolute laws (the Humanitarian Law, World Human Rights Law, the Crime of Misdemeanors and Prohibition of Genocide) and provide the basic constitutional principles needed to achieve peaceful development of nations. This should include relevant universal values and the structures needed to help South Sudan to draft a constitution suited for peaceful development and long-lasting prosperity. See the Charter for the Permanent Peace and Development for more.

Dealing with Pyongyang
North Korea-related events have dominated the headlines with alarming frequency in recent weeks. The most intriguing saga, the Feb. 13 assassination of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s half-brother Kim Jong Nam in Malaysia, is yet to be fully played out
The world’s democracies should all support Taiwan's efforts to carry out constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. Doing so would inspire the 1.4 billion people of China to seek democratization and pressure North Korea in turn to adopt real democracy – leading to the birth of world peace. Democracies everywhere should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia, lighting the path to peaceful development for China. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development / Global Unity Constitutional Standards.

Japan's largest warship to train with US Navy
Japan's largest warship will set sail this summer to train with naval ships from the US and India as part of the annual "Malabar" joint exercise, a Pentagon official told CNN Monday.
Human security is a fundamental human right and must take priority over regimes and sovereignty. The constitution represents the general will of the people, and ensuring human security, including "personal safety", is the most basic and urgent duty of constitutional protectors. The specific action to be taken is comprehensive constitutional reform and implementation of One World under One Set of Laws, so that governments will meet their obligation to protect the people from insecurity. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Think again, Beijing: Carrie Lam is the wrong person to lead Hong Kong out of the political storm
Tom Plate believes the central government should back John Tsang, the leader the people want, rather than the mediocre and unpopular Carrie Lam, to be the SAR’s next chief executive
The Chief Executive of Hong Kong is still elected from a slate of candidates vetted by the CEC. This is merely another form of dictatorship. The people of Hong Kong should avail themselves of Article 39 of the Basic Law, which stipulates that the people have the right to call for referendums. To curb corruption, the heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches should be elected in alternating years and 1/4 of all MPs should face election each year. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development / Global Unity Constitutional Standards.

Moritomo Gakuen has withdrawn its application, must return land, subsidy
Now that numerous controversial points have come to light, it was impossible for the educational corporation to open a school in question. It was a matter of course for the corporation to abandon the plan.
Japan should eradicate cozy relations between business circles and officials. Erasing these structural problems is the only way to eradicate corruption. The Japanese people need to carry out constitutional reform, implementing direct election of the heads of the legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial branches. The president should serve a single 5-year term with no chance to run again for 6 years. 1/4 of all members of the Diet should face election each year, and elections should be free for all candidates. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

US Navy SEALs to take part in joint drills in South Korea
US special operations forces, including the unit that killed Osama Bin Laden, will take part in joint military drills in South Korea to practice incapacitating North Korean leadership in the case of conflict, a military official said Monday.
Democracies everywhere should support Taiwan's efforts at constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would encourage China's 1.4 billion people to call for democratization of the CCCP and make North Korea embrace democracy as well, and with that, world peace will be born. Democracies the world over should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia, lighting the way to peaceful development for China. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development / Global Unity Constitutional Standards.

Ivanka is exception to dad’s ‘Buy American’ dictum
In his January inauguration speech, US President Donald Trump made a seemingly straightforward pledge: “We will follow two simple rules: buy American and hire American.”
Power leads to corruption, and absolute power leads to absolute corruption. To avoid collusion between moneyed interests and government officials, the US needs constitutional reform to ensure its democracy is in line with the times. The heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches should be elected in alternating years, and 1/4 of all lawmakers should face election each year. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development / Global Unity Constitutional Standards.
