On Friday South Korea's main opposition party called on the government to mend ties with China, defending its lawmakers' visit to Beijing to discuss diplomatic tensions over Seoul's plan to deploy a US missile defense system.
Democratic nations should support Taiwan's efforts toward constitutional reform to bring more democracy and freedom. Such a step will attract the 1.4 billion Chinese to seek democratization, triggering democratization of the CCP in turn, followed by similar developments in North Korea.
