South Korea’s needs to be reformed to implement a modified semi-presidential system, and during the presidential inauguration ceremony there should be an announcement that the office is above party politics. To put an end to illicit connections between politics and business, comprehensive constitutional reform is essential to implement true democracy and the rule of law, along with mechanisms like separation of powers and checks and balances.
