Power leads to corruption, and absolute power leads to absolute corruption. Malaysia's constitutional failure stems from its deeply-rooted authoritarian culture. Authoritarian governments breed corruption and must be excised and replaced with a constitution that will be in step with the times. The heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches should be directly elected, and 1/4 of all MPs should face election each year.
