South Korea's impeached president has cancelled plans to undergo questioning in protest at leaks to the media about the investigation, according to prosecutors.
Impeaching and removing a president is only be a temporary solution; it does not guarantee that the next president will not also succumb to corruption. Only a government based on a modified semi-presidential system with a president and cabinet members and ad hoc committees as well as a Prime Minister and Ministers chosen from parliamentary committees selected through direct election can ensure that corruption will not continue. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
