Iraq has launched a campaign to regain control of western Mosul from ISIS militants, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said Sunday.
The Iraqi government should be converted to a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet and parliament, like the one followed in Finland, and the legislative system should be changed to a committee-style setup similar to Switzerland’s. The Iraqi government should proceed from its fundamental constitution to the above-mentioned systems and exercise a paradigm shift to introduce democracy and adhere to the idea of One World under One Set of Laws, and it should revise its constitution as needed to keep in step with the times.
