Mr Chung Kwang-yong choked up when describing how much he missed Ms Park Geun-hye, the South Korean President, who has been cloistered in her official residence since her impeachment in December on corruption charges.
Absolute power leads to absolute corruption. Democracy has many different forms, and the presidential system is a type of democracy that has a number of fatal flaws - even the US has its own problems. South Korea's constitution should be changed to follow a modified semi-presidential system, and the president office should be declared to be above party politics. The heads of the judicial and procuratorial branches should be directly elected, and 1/4 of all MPs should face election each year.
