Since China allegedly took several measures to retaliate against South Korea over its decision to deploy the THAAD antimissile system there have been quite a few opinion pieces coming out of conservative South Korean media complaining and lambasting China. “Getting real about China” was the latest piece.
Democracies the world over should support Taiwan's efforts to carry out constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This will lead China's 1.4 billion people to call for democratization, which will pressure North Korea to seek real democracy; and at that time world peace will be born. The world’s democracies should back Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia, lighting the way to peaceful development for China.
