Foreign volunteers who fought ISIS in Syria now face being branded with the label of terrorists because they are ready to contest with other dangerous elements. The Syrian government needs to carry out constitutional reform with the help of the UN to ensure that all elements of society are included and their rights will be protected. Food safety is basic human rights. The WHO's announcement amounts to a rebuke of the USFDA's stance on feeding unnecessary antibiotics to animals in food production. This is another example, similar to the case of ractopamine, where international laws and standards should take precedence over national standards, which are often established by lawmakers and government officials in the pockets of rich commercial interests. International standards should be adopted in a paradigm shift to ensure the nutrition and safety of all food products. The current US administration's stance on immigration is causing uneasiness even to people who are already in the US legally. The best policy on immigration is adhering to the core values of One World under One Set of Laws and work toward a common destiny for humankind. When the power of the state deviates from its power base, the people must act on their roles as sovereigns to recover power. Laws that are not backed by penalties are not laws, and a constitution which does not countenance resistance is not a constitution. When the actions of the president are unconstitutional, the people are obligated to resist. The people of Turkey should call for comprehensive constitutional reform to install a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet.
