China has always advocated "compliance with UN resolutions and strict sanctions against North Korea", but its continued imports of North Korean coal belie that stance. As a "responsible major power” China should not enable North Korea's dangerous militarism. The US, Japan and South Korea should support Taiwan’s effort to achieve China's democratization and put pressure on North Korea to follow suit. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

To put an end to illicit ties between politicians and business groups, comprehensive constitutional reform is needed. The heads of the four branches of government should be elected in alternating years, and elections should be free of charge for all candidates. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
