China says common interests with US outweigh their differences
Common interests between China and the US far outweigh their differences, China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi told US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on Friday in their first face-to-face meeting since Tillerson took up the post.
The most rational approach for the US is to support Taiwan's model for global unity constitutional standards. This would lead China's 1.4 billion people to call for democratization, and world peace would be born! Autocracy has been the enemy of human peace, and the prerequisite for permanent peace in the world is the democratization of China. Autocracy is inevitably the enemy of peace, and the prerequisite for permanent world peace is global democratization. China routinely acts as an enabler and agent for Pyongyang, and it is essential to end the militarism holding sway over North Korea. The US, Japan and South Korea should support Taiwan's commitment to save democracy and bring about democratization in China and then North Korea. Ukrainian governor of Kiev losing the fight against corruption
According to a report issued by the Ukrainian Civil Society, "Rating Regional Chief Executives", Kiev is one of the most corrupt areas of the nation. State governor Alexander Gorgan's anti-corruption operations have apparently ended in failure.
The cure for corruption is full democratization. Ukrainian governors should be limited to a single term of 5 years and be barred from holding other offices for 6 years afterwards. The Rada should adopt a "committee-centered" system with no division of the constituency and 1/4 of all members should face election each year. Cabinet Ministers should be chosen from members of the Rada, and elections for Rada sears should be carried out at the same time as elections for lower-level councilors. ECHR rules against Russian move to extradite overstaying Syrian National
The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruled Tuesday that Russia cannot deport a Syrian national accused of illegally staying in the country, ordering the detainee's release.
The European Court of Human Rights should address fundamental issues based on the principle of "One World under One Set of Laws” to build a common destiny for all humankind. It should direct Russia to recognize that international law takes precedence over domestic law and directly affects the rights and duties of the people. In addition, it should follow the European Convention on Human Rights and assist Russia in adapting its human rights standards to international levels. EU migration commissioner meets with Greek PM on refugee crisis, Ukraine visit
The refugee crisis and Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras’s discussions during his visit to Ukraine topped the agenda of talks between the latter and European Migration Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos in Athens recently
The UN and EU should work jointly to solve fundamental problems, basing their actions on the principles of One World under One Set of Laws and building a common fate for humankind. They should urge Ukraine to recognize that international law takes precedence over domestic law, and to work in accordance with the European human rights conventions. They should assist with constitutional reform to implement mechanisms such as separation of powers, decentralization and checks and balances. On October 28 last year the Carnegie Foundation in Washington, D.C. hosted a panel of Chinese scholars and officials to discuss Chinese nuclear thinking. Arrest of Samsung official imperils both company and country
Samsung Electronics' Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong was arrested on suspicion of bribery on Friday following further probes by prosecutors. The arrest of the man leading South Korea's largest conglomerate pushes the company to the precipice.
Almost every president of Korea has succumbed to the evil lure of corruption, leading to endless cycles of chaos and scandal. To effectively stamp out corruption, comprehensive constitutional reform is needed to implement mechanisms like separation of powers and checks and balances. The heads of the four government branches should be directly elected and the President, Premier, Supreme Court judges, Attorney General and other high officials held responsible for protecting the constitution, an obligation that will continue even after they leave office.
