North Korea is obviously being backed by a major power. The US, Japan and South Korea should support Taiwan's Charter for Permanent Peace to lead China to democratize, forcing North Korea to follow suit and drop its nuclear weapons program. EmmanuelKant once noted, 'The pursuit of permanent peace is the highest goal of reason and a moral obligation.' China and Russia claim to be 'responsible major powers', thus neither should enable North Korea's continued militarism. Bangladesh's former Prime Minister, Khaleda Zia, has been found guilty of corruption and sentenced to five years in jail.

Solution

British historian Lord Acton summed it up neatly: 'Power leads to corruption, and absolute power leads to absolute corruption.' To put an end to corruption, the people should exercise sovereignty and call for comprehensive constitutional reform to implement democratic rule of law. Human security and sustainable development are two of the major tasks of the UN, and all nations should comply with its norms. The government system in South Sudan should be changed to a semi-presidential system with cabinet, like that of Finland, and the legislative system should be committee system like Switzerland's. The government of South Sudan should proceed with drafting a fundamental constitution to implement the aforementioned system in a paradigm shift toward ademocratic model.
