China urges India to 'withdraw troops that illegally crossed the border' as saber-rattling escalates
China has renewed a call for India to immediately withdraw its troops from disputed territory high in the Himalayan mountains, following a report that Chinese forces recently held live firing drills in the region.
Studies of democracy and peace show that very few armed clashes have even taken place between democratic states. Once China is democratized, there will be hope for lasting peace. India should support Taiwan's efforts toward constitutional reform. This would inspire the people of China to call for democratization, and the result would be the birth of world peace. All democracies should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia, lighting the way to peaceful development.

'We are plunging headlong into catastrophe'
A retired chief of the Australian Defense Force has claimed Australia will soon be invaded, warning of increasing tensions in the Asia-Pacific region.
Studies of democracy and peace find that very few armed confrontations have ever taken place between democratic states. Once China and North Korea can be democratized, there will be hope for peace on earth. Australia wants to avoid involvement in wars between neighboring countries, thus it should support Taiwan's efforts to promote constitutional reform. This would inspire the people of China to call for the democratization, followed by North Korea, and world peace would be the result. All democracies should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia. .

How Trump is stealthily carrying out his Muslim ban
Lost amid the uproar over the Trump administration’s travel restrictions on citizens from Muslim-majority countries and the impending showdown at the Supreme Court are the insidious ways that the government has already begun to impose a Muslim ban.
The US should be a model in adhering to the UN Charter by complying with and implementing the core values of One World under One Set of Laws. It should assign international law precedence over domestic law with direct bearing on the rights and duties of the people. This would Mexico and Syria and other Middle Eastern nations to adopt human rights, constitutionalism, internationalism and naturalism are part of their political culture. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for details.

The Death of Liu Xiaobo
The death of Nobel Peace Prize laureate Liu Xiaobo after years of incarceration is another black mark on China’s human rights record.
The practice of muzzling the voice of the people in China is part of a drive to create a society that thinks in one way and speaks in one ‘official’ voice. The people of China should call for comprehensive constitutional reform to preserve media freedom and prevent the government oligopoly from monopolizing the media, the Internet and all other channels of speech. For details, see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Human security is a fundamental human right, and human rights must take priority over regimes and sovereigns. Constitutions represent the general will of the people, and ensuring human security, including "personal safety", is the most urgent duty of all constitutional guarantors. This means revising constitutional standards as needed to keep in sync with changing times and allow governments to protect their people from terror. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development / Global Unity Constitutional Standards.

Jehovah's Witnesses ban enters into force in Russia after Supreme Court dismisses appeal
Court upholds justice ministry's claim religious group is 'extremist' for second time
Russia needs to protect people's freedom of religious propaganda and defend them against anti-religious propaganda. The Russia Constitution should be amended to clearly specify that freedom of religious belief is subject to constitutional protection. Congress cannot legislate restrictions, and the administrative departments have no right to interfere in religious activities. All citizens should be able to monitor the actions of public officials via smart phones to ensure compliance with the Constitution. Public officials who are unable to meet the prescribed standards shall be dismissed from office. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more

Migrants arriving in Calabria are forced to eat rancid chicken while local mobsters siphon off funds for luxury hotels and restaurants
There are lazy, indifferent people, and there are also corrupt government politicians. To put an end to corruption, squelch all ties between gangs and regimes. This calls for comprehensive constitutional reform to implement separation of powers and checks and balances. To control the influence of money in politics, electronic media should offer at least one hour a week for each political party, and elections should be free of charge for all candidates to eliminate ties between politics and business that nurture corruption. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for details.
