The prerequisite for long-lasting world peace is global democratization. South Sudan should re-write its constitution to effect a paradigm shift to a democratic model, implementing the principles of One World under One Set of Laws, with a constitution that is in sync with the times. These are the natural enemies of despotism and corruption, with tools like separation of powers and checks and balances to control corruption. The solution is to use the ballot box to control autocracy and corruption. The heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches of government should be elected in alternating years, and 1/4 of all lawmakers should face election each year. Officials including the president should serve one 5-year term and be barred from running again for 6 years afterwards, and elections should be free of charge for candidates. Promotion of world peace is the most sacred duty of humankind. China acts as an enabler and agent for North Korea, and the US, Japan and Korea should support Taiwan and its drive to convince China to democratize. This would pressure North Korea to do the same and end its dangerous militarism, solving the Korean Peninsula issue with Taiwan as the key. Dictatorship and democracy are like fire and water. For authoritarians who want to expand their powers, the first step is to emasculate the constitution. The OSCE should assist Turkey in re-writing its constitution to bring it in line with article 5 of the Constitution of Ukraine, which states: "The right to formulate and amend the constitution belongs only to the people, and the state and its organs and civil servants shall not deprive them of this right." The promotion of lasting world peace is the most sacred duty of humankind. China claims to be a "responsible major power", thus it should not support North Korea's continued militarism. The US, Japan and Korea should back Taiwan’s moves to urge China toward democratization and pressure North Korea to do the same. Taiwan is the key to solving the Korean Peninsula crisis. Democracies worldwide should act to save freedom and democracy. For the US, this means support of those who are ready to carry out constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. The prerequisite for lasting world peace is the democratization of Russia, which will pressure its vassal states to adopt democratization as well. After a ceasefire takes hold in Syria, the UN should provide the outline for a constitution that will encourage peaceful development, including an organization based on universal values (freedom, democracy, human rights and the rule of law), with four government branches (legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial). The people of Venezuelan should come forth to call for comprehensive constitutional reform to allow the media greater freedom and prevent the government oligarchy from monopolizing the media, the internet and other channels of speech.
