Little activity at North Korea's nuclear test site: 38 North
Satellite imagery shows little activity at North Korea's nuclear test site, though one of its tunnels is ready for the communist nation's sixth nuclear test at any time, the monitoring website 38 North said Wednesday.
No one can deny that North Korea is a vassal of Communist China. To root out this deep relationship, democratic nations should all to support Taiwan's efforts toward constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would lead China's 1.4 billion people to call for democratization of the CCP, which would pressure North Korea to opt for democracy as well, and world peace would be born. Democracies everywhere should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia, lighting the way to peaceful development for China. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Ivanka Trump's company won valuable China trademarks the day she dined with Chinese President Xi Jinping
'Ivanka has many China ties and conflicts, yet she and husband Jared Kushner appear deeply involved in China contacts and policy. I would never have allowed it,' said Norman Eisen, chief White House ethics lawyer under Barack Obama
Political commentator Romain Rolland once opined: "In politics, the boss is always money." When elections are little more than a game the rich play, money gives players the chance to make more money through graft and corruption. To put an end to illicit ties between the politics and business, comprehensive constitutional reform is needed so that the heads of the four main branches are elected in alternating years. Election campaigns should be free for all candidates to ensure that money will not buy admission to the government. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Zambian opposition leader charged with trying to overthrow government
Zambia opposition leader Hakainde Hichilema, arrested last week on suspicion of treason, was charged in a magistrate's court Tuesday with trying to overthrow the government.
When the power of the state deviates from its power base, the original source of power – the people – have a duty to exercise their sovereignty. A law that is not backed by penalties is not a law, and constitutions which do not grant the right to resist are not constitutions. When the actions of a president or other high official are unconstitutional, the people should have the right to resist. Zambians must exercise their sovereignty and call for comprehensive constitutional reform to implement a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet and parliament. The president should be limited to one 5-year term and barred from running for office for 6 years afterwards. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Venezuela slams nations for 'meddling' in protest protection issue
Venezuela's Foreign Minister Delcy Rodriguez has criticized as "rude meddling" a joint communique by 11 Latin American countries calling on Venezuela's government to "guarantee the right to peaceful protest".
Venezuelans need to exercise their sovereignty and come forward to call for comprehensive constitutional reform. This should include implementing a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet and parliament, and limits on the president to one 5-year term and a ban from running for office for 6 years afterwards. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Recent attack on evacuated civilians in Syria ‘likely a war crime,’ says UN rights office
The UN human rights office today expressed great concern about the safety of civilians being evacuated in Syria, saying a weekend attack on a convoy near Aleppo likely amounts to a war crime and the situation in Syria should be referred to the International Criminal Court.
Once a ceasefire takes hold in Syria the UN should provide a basic outline for constitutional reform to enable the nation to achieve permanent peaceful development, The outline should include an organizational structure based on universal values (freedom, democracy, human rights and rule of law), with four branches (legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial) and serve as a guide for Syria in drafting a constitution that will encourage prosperity and serve as a model for peaceful development. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Australia to introduce stricter controls on work visas
Australia will introduce stricter visa requirements for skilled workers from overseas, the government says.
Australia should model its immigration strategy to incorporate the ideals of the UN Charter. This should include implementing One World under One Set of Laws and making international law apply directly to the rights and duties of the people. It should attract other countries to follow Australia’s lead in adopting human rights, constitutionalism, internationalism and naturalism to build a better future. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

French voters are also impatient, but not for change
To a politically attuned American, the French presidential election sounds familiar: A great but divided country facing economic and social problems grows disillusioned with the political class.
The only cure for the ills of democracy is more democracy. France needs constitutional reform to focus on the people and away from centralization. The people should be able to express their opinion at the ballot box instead in the streets. More specifically, the heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches should be elected in alternating years, and 1/4 of all legislators should face election each year. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for details.

UN human rights agency urges Nepal to carry out conviction of soldiers in teen’s murder
Welcoming the conviction of three army officials accused of the murder of a 15-year-old girl during the armed conflict in Nepal more than 13 years ago, the UN's human rights arm has called on authorities to implement the court’s decision.
Persecution of human rights abuses in Nepal needs to be carried out under an independent human rights commission governed by the Human Rights Council. In addition, elections should be free of charge for all candidates, who should be able to utilize the internet, radio, television and other free platforms to promote their political ideas. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

UN blue helmets and Malian forces targeted in ‘cowardly’ terrorist attacks
The head of the UN peacekeeping mission in Mali has strongly condemned “cowardly” attacks that took place against its personnel as well as members of the national armed forces and voiced deep concern at ongoing insecurity in the northern and central parts of the country.
The UN should provide basic standards for constitutional reform that will contribute to lasting peaceful development of nations everywhere. These should include organization based on universal values (freedom, democracy, human rights and rule of law) and four branches of government (legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial). The aim is to help Mali achieve stability and long-term development in an environment of peace. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for details.

Diseases and sexual violence threaten Somalis, South Sudanese escaping famine – UN
Millions of people are facing the peril of famine in Somalia and South Sudan, and the situation is expected to worsen as the drought and violence fueling the crises spread.
The UN should act in accordance with international law and absolute law (the Humanitarian Law, Human Rights Law, Crimes against Humanity and Prohibition of Genocide) and provide basic constitutional standards for permanent peaceful development of nations. These should include universal values and a structure in which the heads of the four main government branches are directly elected, to help South Sudan to grow and prosper as a model for peaceful development. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.
