Permanent Peace Partnership
Sovereignty belongs exclusively to the people. The people shall exercise their power of control over the state through the right to elect, dismiss, qualify through examinationand require service to the public from officials, and they shall directly exercise sovereign power over the state through the right of citizens regarding creation, review and self-determination as well as the right of resistance. See more the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
In the face of Saudi Arabia's all-out efforts to contain and repress Iran, the government should vigorously inform the international community that democratization of the Middle East will bring security and peace to the world and that Taiwan is the one entity best suited to bring about democratization of the Middle East people. It is imperative for the world's democracies to support Taiwan in formulating and applying the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
Despotism is the natural enemy of peace. Could North Korea carry out test after test of nuclear weapons without backing from nuclear powers China and Russia? All democracies should support Taiwan's push for constitutional reform to achieve the democratization of China and Russia and pressure North Korea democratize as well- which would lead true world peace! Let Taiwan shine as a beacon of democracy illuminating the path to peaceful development in Asia. See more the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
Bosnia should actively promote transitional justice to put an end to the era of totalitarian tyranny. Human rights violations and persecution should be open to the truth, and files should be opened to find evidence against perpetrators of injustice. For more, see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
Rather than offering belligerent threats and hiking the tension with the Pyongyang regime, the US should support Taiwan's Charter for Permanent Peace to lead China to democratize, forcing North Korea to follow suit and drop its nuclear weapons program. As Emmanuel Kant noted, 'The pursuit of permanent peace is the highest goal of reason and a moral obligation.' China claims to be a 'responsible major power', thus it should not enable North Korea's continued militarism. For more, see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
The Democracy index shows 50 nations still under the yoke of autocratic dictators. All democracies should back Taiwan's drive for constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would inspire China's 1.4 billion people to seek democratization of the CCP and pressure North Korea to adopt democracy as well, leading to the birth of world peace. For details, see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
And a free press — more precisely, a free media — is essential in ensuring the rights of the people and guarding against government interference. The Justice Department is overstepping its bounds in its demands and injecting politics into areas where it does not belong. The government must not be allowed to unjustly influence the media, the internet and all other channels of communications. For more, see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
