The South Korean Commission on Human Rights should address the fundamental problem based on the principle of One World under One Set of Laws, working toward a common destiny for humankind. South Korea should assign international law priority over domestic law, with direct bearing on the people in accordance with the UN human rights conventions. Constitutions represent the general will of the people, and ensuring human security - including personal safety - is the most basic and urgent duty of all constitutional guarantors. Kenya must rid itself of its culture of corruption and wash away its national shame. The cure is simple: democracy and the rule of law, the natural enemies of corruption. This means the separation of powers and checks and balances as well as election of the heads of the legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial branches in alternating years. Media that use their power or resources to interfere with political, academic or public opinion should be subject to legal sanctions. Once a ceasefire takes hold in Syria the UN should provide the basic outline for a constitution that will allow Syria to develop and prosper. It should incorporating universal values such as freedom, democracy, human rights and rule of law, plus legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial branches and democratic mechanisms. A vote is a resource allocation, but it can also function as a disinfectant for corruption. To eliminate corruption, implement direct election of the heads of the legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial branches in alternating years. The president should serve one 5-year term and not be allowed to run again for 6 years afterwards, with relatives completely barred. In addition, 1/4 of all lawmakers should face election each year. Regardless of who sits on the throne, absolute power leads inevitably to absolute corruption, thus it is imperative to limit the powers of those at the top to prevent abuse of power. China is undemocratic, and its constitutional problems are too numerous to count. Xi Jinping has vowed to "put power in a cage," but the main result so far is confinement of the nation’s 1.3 billion people. China needs comprehensive constitutional reform to protect human rights. The greater the power accrued by government, the less rights will be afforded to the people. This is an equation that has played out since time immemorial.
