Human security and sustainable development are two of the major tasks of the UN. If Hong Kong is to solve its problems with air pollution it needs to implement the core values inherent in One World under One Set of Laws, assigning international law precedence over domestic law, with direct effect on the rights and duties of the people. The world’s democracies should all support Taiwan's efforts at constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would inspire China's 1.4 billion people to call for democratization of the CCP, and North Korea would then follow suit, leading to the birth of world peace. The people of Hong Kong should make good use of Article 39 of the Basic Law, which states that the people have the right to call for referendums. Governments sometimes force innocent people to disappear. A law that is not backed by penalties is not a law, and a constitution that does not countenance resistance is not a constitution.
